Nobody believes me now, but as a kid, I hated Halloween. I was scared, and I wasn't much for candy. In fact, every year my mom would make me throw away the remaining Halloween candy I had squirreled away in my sock drawer by Easter Sunday.
All of this changed my Freshman year of college, when I coaxed my dear friend Heidi to wear cardboard bluebird costumes and wander the streets of Chicago.
Since then, Halloween is a natural passion of mine, and I can hardly wait to pull out my spooky decorations or start crafting this year's costume.
My annual Halloween party has a theme this year - Black and White. So my costume and my decor follows the theme.
Here are a few of this year's creations:
More to come after the party!
