Legendary Primer - Y is for Yeti

Brian Ness

The Yeti, or abominable snowman, is thought to live within the Himilayan Mountains. Early inhabitants of this region worshipped the "Glacier Being" and thought he was the God of the Hunt. 19th Century explorers took note of large footprints, while 20th Century Westerners began to claim sightings of a hairy ape-like beast. Searching for the Yeti became quite a trend in the 1950s, with many news articles, books, tests and evaluations occurring to try to bring proof of its existence. Some still search for the Yeti today, but belief in his existence has waned significantly over the past 40 years.

What do you think? Do you believe?
