Legendary Primer - I is for Icarus

Brian Ness

Icarus is the son of a major crafter. His name was Daedalus, and he made this big crazy labyrinth. He also made 2 sets of wings - one for him, and one for Icarus. The wings were made out of feathers and wax, and when Daedalus took them for a spin, he warned Icarus that the wings cannot be too close to the sea or the sun. Well, Icarus didn't listen too well, flew too close to the sun, and found that his father's warning was right. The wax melted, and Icarus fell back to Earth.

I guess we should listen to our crafty dads!
